I put the ear plugs in and they worked so well I started shooting, forgetting to put on my ear muff hearing protector. Good value. We have bought other ear plugs from the drug store and they were practically useless as far as noise reduction. These are not like those ear plugs. The sound reduction is noticeable, but he can still hear enough to tell when someone is talking to him (so he knows to take them out and listen). The way you put them in allows them to custom fit many ear sizes, all the way down to his little ears. And having a huge box of them makes them a steal! These are nice feeling foamies rated at a standard 29nrr for foamies. They squish fine and insert fine. Soft foam makes them easy to keep in for hours on end. I use them for construction and shop and Harley riding on long trips that would have left my head ringing. These would also work great for sleepers. Very soft.
