The device recognized the card without any problems, and there was no formatting required. Since then it has done its job very well without anything I could complain about. It is important to know that the BB Curve 8320 is not able to handle micro SD-HC cards with a capacity higher than 4 GB, so don't bother spending money on a larger version. The BlackBerry curve does not support SDHC technology. You are limited to the 2GB MicroSD technology. Don't waste your time or money. This is a GREAT Chip! I've contacted SanDisk with one I had a problem with. They supported it fantastically (was going to replace it immediatley). However, I was able to format it on my computer and then use it on my BlackBerry Pearl (which does support SDHC technology). The BlackBerry PEARL supports SDHC 4GB, 8GB, 16GB, etc., etc. And SanDisk does these well. Customer Rating: Summary: Works great with Blackberry Curve 8310!! Comment: I purchased this for use with my Blackberry Curve 8310 on the AT&T network. Information about which cards are usable with this device is not clear on the web, so it was a bit of a leap of faith. Turns out as long as your software version on the BB is at 4.2.2 or higher, this seems to work great. I see and can use all 4GB of space, and it's quick. I have not tested it in the adapter yet for use in a full size SD slot, but frankly, that's not why I bought it.
