She had been complaining for months that her old digital camera (5 years old) was flaky, unreliable and impossible to take anywhere due to its size. This camera has made her a very happy lady. It's small but still has a good sturdy feel. It takes great point-and-shoot photos and impromptu videos. Especially handy for her is the feature that locates faces and makes sure they're in focus. Best of all, the battery life is quite good (especially compared to what she was used to) even with the flash.
